Principals

David B. Ackerman
is a principal of Ackerman Capital Management. He joined the firm in 1992 and serves as a portfolio manager and senior analyst. He specializes in crafting custom portfolio solutions for high net-worth clients using high quality, no-load mutual funds and exchange traded funds. David is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and is a Past -President of the CFA Institute of Dallas-Fort Worth. He is also Certified Financial Planner (CFP), and a member of the Financial Planning Association. He has been voted by other investment professionals in D Magazine as one of the best wealth managers in Dallas. David received his B.A. in Political Science and Economics from Duke University.

Edward M. Ackerman is a principal of Ackerman Capital Management, as well as the general partner and portfolio manager of Ackerman Associates, a private investment partnership. Before forming Ackerman Associates in 1969, he was the Dallas regional manager of Salomon Brothers. He has served as Vice-Chairman of the Investment Advisory Committee of the Texas Teacher Retirement System of Texas and as a member of the Investment Advisory Committee of the Permanent Fund of the University of Texas. Currently he serves on the investment committees of the Hockaday School and the Southwestern Medical Foundation. He is a graduate of the University of Texas with post-graduate study at the Graduate School of Business Administration of New York University. He is a member of the CFA Institute of Dallas-Fort Worth.
